Jobs that match your profile — with reasons, not just a number

Aptora compares your profile with real job advertisements and shows for every job why it fits: which requirements your profile meets, which it covers through a related capability and which are missing. The jobs come from your job alert e-mails and from teams that publish their openings on Aptora.

A match as Aptora explains it (example)
Platform Engineer · Contoso GmbH

✓ Kubernetes listed in your skills section
✓ Terraform listed in your skills section
✓ Go found in your profile text
≈ Docker covered via Kubernetes
✗ Azure required by the job, not in your profile

Your job alerts deliver, Aptora sorts

Every account has its own inbound address. Enter it on job portals or forward your job alert e-mails to it: Aptora splits them into individual advertisements and reads the required skills. The advertisements land in the shared job board without any reference to you — nobody sees who forwarded which e-mail.

Every match comes with reasons

For each requirement you see whether it is in your skill list, appears in your profile text, is covered through a related capability or is missing. Results are sorted by skill and title overlap or by recency — never by who paid for an advertisement. A match rates the overlap, not you.

You choose the profile

If you have several profiles, say one for projects and one for a permanent position, you choose which one to search with. With job wishes in your own words — industry, share of remote work, topics you want to avoid — you can additionally sort the matches by what you are really looking for.

New matches come to you

When a matching job arrives through your inbound address, Aptora lets you know. On the personal plans, Aptora also checks new advertisements against your profiles once a day and sends you the matches with the largest overlap.

From match to application — you press send

From a match, you tailor a copy of your profile to the advertisement and prepare the application: profile link in the design of your choice, day rate, contact and a note. For openings from teams on Aptora, the application goes straight to them; for external advertisements, Aptora drafts the e-mail and you send it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the jobs come from?

From two sources: e-mails from job portals that users forward to their inbound address, and openings that teams publish on Aptora. The list shows whether an advertisement comes from a team on Aptora or is external.

How is a match calculated?

From the overlap between the skills in your profile and the requirements of the advertisement, plus the similarity of the job titles. This calculation uses no AI; only the optional sorting by your job wishes is an AI step.

Does Aptora apply on my behalf?

No. You trigger every application yourself and see beforehand what goes out. For external advertisements, Aptora sends nothing and only drafts the e-mail.

Can teams find me themselves?

If you want them to. Set your profile to “Discoverable on Aptora” and it appears in companies' candidate search, and they can message you through Aptora. For that, the profile needs a summary, a job title, dated experience, skills and a country.

What does it cost?

The inbound address, the job board and matching are included in every plan, including the free one. Applications through Aptora, tailored copies and the daily match summary belong to the personal plans; details are on the pricing page.
